Happiness is a Balance

Coming from a family with 5 older siblings, I was
always being given career advice from an early age. Sometimes the advice proved fruitful, but it seemed
like I was trying to squeeze a square peg into a
round hole. The advice from my siblings was great
for them, but not so much for me.

I decided that I needed to find out what worked best

for me based on who I was and what interested me.
So, back in 1997 I started my search and in the process, I found out that WHY I was doing anything would become an important factor, too. I developed this personal framework and used it as my guide
as I launched my career life.

Over the past 25 years, I have used this framework when I have switched jobs, moved to new locations, and when I just wanted to get back to the work that makes me happy. I started sharing my frame
with co-workers and friends on the back of napkins. Over the years, more and more people became interested and I eventually found myself
presenting it in front of groups up to 1,000 people.

I hope you find this framework helpful in your journey. And if you'd like to talk about your particular situation or if you'd like to set up a presentation to your organization, reach out. I'm here to help.
